Training Overview

The Cayman Islands Society of HR Professionals recognizes the importance of continuous training, learning, and development, and we consider our professional development courses to be one of the great benefits of becoming a member. We offer short courses and seminars to members at all career levels, from HR administrators to recently appointed managers and experienced managers, who would welcome additional training or a refresher course.

We are dedicated to providing high quality, cost-effective training to our members and our local and international trainers are carefully selected for their expertise.

Certificate in HR Management

The Certificate in Human Resource Management is designed to introduce Human Resource Practitioners to the fundamentals of local employment laws in the Cayman Islands, as well as the basic theory of Human Resource Management.

Training Sessions

We offer three categories of training sessions, designed to suit a range of professional development needs:

Full Day Sessions

Courses generally run from 8:30am-4:30pm with lunch provided and offer the opportunity for key topics and competencies to be explored in depth with opportunities for break out sessions, questions and answers and direct advice on case studies personal to you.

Half Day Sessions

These sessions run from 08:30-12:00 and are designed to cover a core HR or a related subject. Breakfast is provided and attendees have the opportunity to ask questions and gain feedback on situations related to the topic with a qualified course trainer whilst taking half of your busy working day.

Breakfast Sessions

These are a recent addition to our training portfolio at the request of our members. Breakfast sessions run from 8:00-10:00 and are designed to enable leading HR figures and government figures to briefly present on a particular aspect of HR or legislation directly affecting HR, with the opportunity for questions and answers and having minimal impact on a busy working day.
