CISHRP Welcomes New Board Members

The Cayman Islands Society for HR Professionals has a new Board, with some new and some familiar faces. Welcome to all the new Board Members and we wish you all the best during your term on the CISHRP Board.

Valentine Ball

President
Valentine started her career in hospitality and customer service, she then found her passion for Human Resources in 2014. Valentine is a SHRM-Certified Professional and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.

After working for Coca-Cola European Partners in London in HR and Continuous Improvement roles, she relocated to Grand Cayman where she continued developing her HR skills with MUFG Investor Services.

Combining her background in continuous improvement and customer service along with her knowledge of HR, Valentine wishes to help bring together HR professionals of the Cayman Islands to meet, share best practices, knowledge and grow their network.

Hannah Foreman

Vice President
Hannah is a Caymanian HR Professional who has worked in the HR and Recruitment space for 7 years. She currently works as a HR Consultant for CaymanHR, supporting numerous on-island companies with their HR needs.

She holds a Bachelor in Fine Art from Sheffield Hallam University and a REC Level 3 Certification in Recruitment Practice.

Hannah also completed her Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in 2015 and teaches hot yoga part time at Bliss Yoga Cayman. Hannah has a passion for helping people and fulfills this passion in her professional and personal life.

In my current role as Deputy Chief Officer at the Portfolio of the Civil Service we strive to create an environment where the hearts and minds of staff are committed to service excellence. Our team is united by our values and commitment for a World Class Civil Service.

I am a Chartered Accountant by training as well as a Fraud Examiner and a Human Resource Professional. I have an MBA specializing in HR and employee engagement. I have spent over 19 years with the Cayman Islands Government in various capacities.

I have been involved with several Boards including Trade and Business, Liquor Licensing, Special Economic Zone and the Institute of Internal Auditors and now with the Cayman Islands Civil Service Credit Union.

I believe I have the experience and expertise to make a difference with our HR profession. I will strive to do my very best and will always have the member’s interest at heart.

Hannah Jackson

Director
Hannah is a violinist turned HR professional, who spends her time helping companies and candidates find the right “fit”.

With over five years’ experience in the recruitment space at CML & Nova Recruitment, Hannah most recently co-founded the career-focused non-profit organisation, Connect by Nova in 2020 to provide free career development and training resources to the local Cayman community.

In 2022, Hannah joined the CML Legal Recruitment team where she focuses on the placement of attorneys and legal support professionals across the Cayman Islands, BVI, Jersey, Guernsey, and Bermuda. Hannah has built strong relationships with the leading law firms and works closely with the legal teams to match companies with top talent.

Hannah also oversees the day-to-day operations of Connect by Nova working closely with the public sector, private sector and educational institutions ensuring Connect deliver a unique, dynamic, and fresh approach to providing independent and impartial careers guidance on what to do about skills gaps, programme development and the employment market.

Hannah received her Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) designation from the Human Resources Certification Institute and has served on the Board of Directors for the Cayman Islands Society for Human Resources Professionals since 2020.

Meagan McKenna

Director
Meagan is a Certified SHRM Professional with extensive experience managing the HR function at a global level including full employee cycle, immigration and workplace relations, recruiting, learning and development, employee performance programs and exit management.

Meagan also holds her AHRI certification IV in Human Resources Management and a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences-Psychology.

Phil Jackson

Phil is an accomplished HR Executive, whose career spans over 20 years industry experience in both private and public sectors. He is a results-oriented professional who focuses on quality, excellence, and client relationships. Phil is currently the Senior Vice President for a financial services firm where he is tasked with development and execution of HR Strategy, Leadership Development, and strengthening its corporate culture. He is a Leader & Visionary who has a track record of building high performance teams, and delivering results that consistently exceeds targets.

Phil holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management, a Strategic HR Business Partner certification and is a AMA Certified Professional in Management.

He has a passion for professional development and transforming organizations. Phil has previously served on the Board of Directors and is excited to contribute again in a meaning way, for the CISHRP Members & the Cayman community.

William Koutney

Treasurer
A career measured by equal parts in public accounting and recruitment. Will currently leads the financial services recruitment team, as well as the internal finance function, at CML. Since joining former CEO Steve McIntosh in 2015 the firm has grown from 14 members of staff to 31 and Will’s team has grown from (not so much a team) 1 to 6.

Will is a qualified US CPA and SHRM-SCP qualified.

Will aims to bring a commercial vision of HR to CISHRP and the HR function in Cayman as a whole. Namely, to lead change on HR as a center of leadership, business excellence and as a driver of revenue through talent management.

Gianna Bodden

Secretary
Gianna is a dedicated and passionate Human Resources professional bringing 14+ years of experience in HR operations, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Training, Talent Management, Performance Management, and Administration. Currently employed as the Senior Manager – Learning & Talent Development in the Financial Services Industry, Gianna successfully develops and manages a small team. She has a “We Can” versus “I Can” mentality and loves collaborating with others to create synergies and provide practical solutions to problems. She is known for being adaptable in a busy business environment and managing multiple priorities positively. Her greatest passions are continuous learning and development, coaching/motivating others, and delivering results at a high standard.

Gianna holds a Masters in Human Resource Management & Organizational Analysis, holds a AIRS Professional Recruiter Certification and HCI Strategic HR Business Partner Certification.

Gianna was the recipient of the CISHRP David Bodden scholarship in 2010 and she is excited to serve as a Board Member and give back to the CISHRP Society.
